This course is a complete, detailed, and practical introduction to the importance of ritual purity, the role of exorcism, and the use of defensive magic on a daily basis. It is designed to provide students with detailed means of maintaining psychic health and purity as they undertake various spiritual practices. It also teaches how to protect places and people from unwanted psychic influences. These are classical and medieval methods as found in several schools of European ceremonial and folk magic.

Theory and Practice of Natal Astrology

This six-week course is designed to give the student a thorough working knowledge of the theory and practice of genethlialogy, or natal astrology. The student will learn:

  • The history and philosophy of the art
  • The planetary, zodiacal, and house significations
  • And how to interpret and synthesize all the information contained in a natal chart into a coherent “picture” of the native (the subject of the natal chart) and their life’s narrative arc.

There will be an optional exam and certificate in natal astrology from the Institute for Hermetic Studies with a passing grade.

The Three Books of Occult Philosophy: The Foundation of Western Esotericism

This course introduces you to Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa and the world of the Renaissance magus while drawing heavily on the philosophical and practical works of Marsilio Ficino, Johannes Reuchlin, Pico della Mirandola, as well as classical authors.

Book One starts with the elemental or material world in Book One. In Book Two, the aspiring adept is introduced to the significant role of astrology in occult workings. Finally, in Book Three, the celestial realms are revealed so that the entire cosmos in seen as an integrated web of Being.

Introduction to Classical Astrology in the Western Tradition
