The Institute for Hermetic Studies
holds seminars across the year. These all day seminars allow students to hear guest speakers present information on a variety of topics related to Western Esotericism.
In addition to classes based upon the articles listed on this site the Institute for Hermetic Studies offers the following ‘Core Courses’. Each Course is a weekend long seminar
focusing on specific aspects of Traditional Western Esotericism building upon the previous one, leading students through a progressive and integrated understanding of the philosophy, practice, and purpose of the Hermetic Arts
and Sciences. These Courses are designed to be both central to the ongoing work of the Institute, as well as allowing students a solid foundation upon which to build their own research and practice in the absence
of regular contact with a qualified instructor.

Qabala and Magic
Coupled with Alchemy, Qabala forms the basis for Western Esotericism from the Renaissance
to the present day. However, ritual magic is the major tool with which students of the Hermetic Qabala are most familiar. Through the use of symbols in creative, imaginative, and dynamic coherency, each of us can become

Spagyrics and Alchemy
Working directly with the inherent energies in
matter, releasing, purifying, and ingesting them is the basis for alchemical work. Culminating in the creation of the ‘Philosopher’s Stone’, the “Royal Art” of alchemy combines the symbolism
and knowledge of qabala, astrology, and esoteric medicine, as they operate in all three levels - plant, mineral, and human - into a single profound science. Spagyric tinctures are used to assist in general health, well
being, and interior initiation. Mineral alchemy works directly on the deepest levels of consciousness, and is considered the quickest path to enlightenment in the Western Esoteric Tradition. Spagyrics Courses work
with plants and are based on Paracelsus. The Mineral Courses explore working with Antimony in both the “Wet” and “Dry” Paths of alchemy.

Astrology
Astrology is the study of cycles and how they effect
consciousness and life as we know it. A careful study of astrology, in relation to one’s personal horoscope, can assist people in learning more about their predispositions, strengths, weaknesses, potential areas of
conflict, as well as success, achievement, and happiness. Astrology Course work is designed to give each student a compete overview and working tools for each topic, so that they may feel confident and competent when
working with astrological information, interpreting charts, or looking to apply astrology in a practical manner to life’s questions.

Hermetica Healing Arts
Hermetica Healing Arts is a system of energetic healing based on the Egyptian
Mystery teachings as found in Alexandrian Hermeticism, Qabala, Renaissance Rosicrucianism, and Alchemy. Focusing on the use of natural forces, cycles, visualization, and ritual to increase, store, and transfer energy for
the purposes of increasing health and well-being, or to ease transition during death, Hermetica Healing Arts can be learned by almost anyone.
Level One
An overview of the fundamental aspects of healing in the
Hermetica Healing Arts.

Level Three
Emphasizes advanced methods of individual and group healing,
contact and distant healing,
psychological issues behind illness, esoteric considerations of death. Topics include:

- Important Astrological Considerations in the Healing Process
- How to Form Healing Chains that Work - The Power of the Egregore

Each Level is given as a one-day workshop. The suggested period of time between Levels is one-month, however, those with experience in healing or other esoteric modalities may take
each Level over three consecutive weeks.
Instructor Level
Students who
complete Level Three may continue their training in specialized areas, or may
request Instructor Level Certification in Hermetica Healing Arts. Estimated time
between
the completion of Level Three and the achievement of Instructor Level Certification is between
two and three years.
